My Veterinary Career (MVC), now powered by AAHA, was founded by veterinary professionals who, as practice owners and administrators,
witnessed early in their career the cost of making ill-advised hiring decisions. To combat this all too common mistake, MVC launched
the first veterinary matchmaking service, putting a personalized spin on the traditional recruiting model. We recognize that many
poor hiring decisions are not due to a practice’s inability to recruit veterinarians or managers, but often are attributed to a lack
of time devoted to the hiring process.
MVC operates under the belief that we have a responsibility to revolutionize the hiring process in veterinary medicine. We approach
this through our matchmaking process geared toward finding the right veterinary professional for the right veterinary practice. Our entire
process is free for job-seekers, and costs nothing for practices until a match is made.
The Matchmaking Process
As we begin working with a practice, we sit down with the owner or manager to create a practice profile, which helps us better understand
all aspects of the practice. As veterinarians and managers ourselves, we understand the technical, managerial, and cultural intricacies of
practices, thereby allowing us to truly identify the right match. This practice profile also helps us ensure that the practice offers a
